For more than 100 years, Colleen James’ family has been making relish. Not just any relish, but a relish that truly adds zest and enhances the natural flavor of food. Made from all natural ingredients with no additives or preservatives, this unique recipe has been handed down from generation to generation bringing joy to families across the country.

However, the story doesn’t stop here. More Than a Relish is truly more than just a relish. Colleen has always been led by faith and the desire to do more - more for her family, more for her community, more for the world.

More Than a Relish ™, LLC is based in Norfolk, Virginia's Empowerment Zone. This Zone was established to support and encourage the education, long-term employment and career options of citizens in need. More Than a Relish ™, LLC is part of the community solution. We have also earned the Virginia's Finest trademark designation of quality from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

In addition to developing local jobs for people in need and supporting community projects, Colleen also has a vision of providing support on a worldwide basis. She has been actively involved with International Faith Fellowship since 1981. This ministry has been working with and for the Haitian people assisting in community development such as well drilling and constructing schools, churches and homes. These wonderful pastors are changing the world one life at a time by providing those who have nothing with the skills, knowledge, and know how to earn a living and support themselves and their families. For many, it’s the gift of hope. A person can be given a fish to feed them for a day or you can teach them how to fish so they can feed themselves and others for a lifetime. The proceeds from More Than a Relish ™, LLC are seeds of support to encourage “fishing.”
